So, please check your country\u2019s copyright rules because they might vary from one to another at some point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Diving into Midjourney copyright rules<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc<a href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/ai-generated-images-from-text-cant-be-copyrighted-us-government-rules-174243933.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">According to the newest US copyright rules<\/a>, USCO has officially banned AI outputs including AI-generated art from holding any copyright. In this rule, only human-generated content deserves to have a copyright.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In short, <strong>Midjourney gives you credit for the image you generated as long as you have a paid membership and gives credit to Midjourney itself.<\/strong> As Midjourney&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.midjourney.com\/docs\/en\/terms-of-service\">terms of service<\/a> mention, since it is an open and public tool, other people can use and remix <em>your<\/em> art, as well. Anyhow, you can reduce the chance of others taking your art by getting a private plan. So, basically, anyone can use your image prompt or the image you\u2019ve created on Midjourney in Discord bot chatrooms, where everything is viewable to everyone. Anyways, If you want to sell or make money off the AI-generated images you\u2019ve developed, you need to buy a membership plan for sure.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that in case you\u2019re an employee who earns $1,000,000 USD a year in gross revenue and wants to use Midjourney to benefit your company, you need to purchase a corporate plan that\u2019s non-refundable for 12 months.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Can I sell Midjourney art?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>As I mentioned before, <strong>you can sell Midjourney art in case you have a paid membership plan.<\/strong> Apart from the corporate plan, which is used for organizations, you can buy any of the plans starting from $10 and use your images however you want; whether you want to sell them directly or use them commercially in an indirect way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.perfectlancer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/colored-one-hundread-dollar-bill-contemporary-art.jpg\" alt=\"colored-one-hundread-dollar-bill-contemporary-art\" class=\"wp-image-4771\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2>Conclusion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Midjourney is a trendy topic nowadays, and many people use it to create spectacular artwork, but we should keep copyright rules and laws in case we want to use them in any way or sell them and make money off them.
