I have a Masters' degree in Chemical Engineering and have been working in finance as a relationship manager for 4 years.
I chose to study Chemical Engineering because I was fascinated by the application of science and mathematics to solve real-world problems. However, after graduating, I realized that I wanted to explore a different field that would challenge me intellectually and offer me more opportunities for growth and development. That is why I decided to switch to finance and joined a bank as a relationship manager.
As a relationship manager, I am responsible for managing a portfolio of corporate clients, providing them with financial solutions, and maintaining long-term relationships. I enjoy my work because it allows me to interact with different people, learn about various industries, and use my analytical and communication skills.
However, I also want to stay in touch with what is happening in STEM and perhaps find my way back into a more technical and numerical.
So in short, I like to explore and I enjoy being a jack of all trades.
