Your body needs both acidic and alkaline media to remain balanced. While your stomach needs to be acidic for proper digestion, your blood should be alkaline. The adage that “You are what you eat” is true. Certain foods push your pH levels to the acidic side, causing body acidulation. The overall effect of this is compromised health. Your immune system becomes weakened, and you are more predisposed to diseases. On the flip side, there are alkaline foods that restore your pH balance. You need to include them in your daily diet for better health.
